Pegasus Indigo Filter Wheel
This is Pegasus Astro's new product release: their new high quality Indigo FIlter Wheel which has a 7 position carousel and can house 2inch mounted or 50mm round unmounted filters.
Pegasus Indigo Filter Wheel Main Features:
One cable operation: Filter Wheel requires a USB2 (TypeB) cable only. This simplifies the connectivity as it does not require a separate power supply when used with USB control.
Accurate FIlter Selection: Carousel has seven (7) slots and accepts 2inch mounted or 50mm unmounted filters. The Filter Wheel rotates clock or counter clockwise direction for filter selection. A combination of a direct drive stepper motor and optical encoders ensure that your filter selection is precise, dead accurate on every filter location. Filter Wheel carousel takes the shortest path when moving from one filter to another.
Thin Design: The body of the Indigo filter wheel is aluminium CNC milled. High quality aluminium alloy allowed us to design the filter wheel as thin as possible (19.0mm, 19.6mm with adapter).
Pegasus Indigo Filter Wheel Orientation: Both sides of the filter wheel have M54 openings. The screw slide adapter (image below) allows you to properly allign the orientation of your camera. Just untie the screws and rotate the adapter to the desired orientation.
Pegasus Indigo Filter Wheel Camera Connection: The 6 screw holes on the camera side allows direct connection with astronomical cameras that follow the same 6 x hole pattern. A neat feature allowing you to reduce the total backfocus instead of placing adapters.
