WarpAstron WarpDrive WD-17 Strain Wave Harmonic Drive Mount
The new WarpAstron WD-17 is an extremely compact but strong harmonic drive mount that uses a direct drive connection to connect the strain wave reducer. This gives unmatched precision and response time as well as virtually eliminating backlash and noise.
The mount head weighs just 4.3kg including the dual Vixen + Losmandy mount head, and has a load capacity of 13.5kg without a counterweight, or even 20kg with a counterweight!
On top of this, the lack of belt or gears means almost zero maintenance required.
Direct Drive Connection

1. Standard: Recommend for better performance; Max Allowed: Load can be moved by mount; User should also consider the tripod stability and centre of gravity to use counterweights properly.
2. WD-20 equipped with home sensors on both axis, it can return home even with error coordinates; WD-17 can return to home position relying on coordinates memorized in FRAM Chip, which can save data when power off.
3. Mounts support both USB Type-C to C and USB Type-C to A cables.
4. ST4 port used for hand controller connection, and ST-4 guide which require an optional converter for connecting with RJ-12 port.
