Takahashi FC-76DS F/7.5 Fluorite Doublet Apo Refractor Telescope
The FC-76DS apochromatic refractor is equipped with a fluorite doublet at F/7.5, identical to that of the FC-76DCU. Its 95 mm diameter tube and 50.8 mm focuser allow it to support heavier cameras than its little sister can. It is equipped with a retractable dew shield which makes it more compact than the FC-76DCU with its fixed dew shield.
The FC-76DS can be equipped with a focal reducer or with a field corrector for photography. The image circle is 36 mm diameter at F/5.5 focal ratio with the flattener and 40 mm diameter at F/7.8 focal ratio with the corrector. There is also an optional Camera Angle Adjuster (CAA) for photographic framing and a microfocuser for finer focus.
This refractor is very versatile. It allows striking observations with a light and compact tube, while offering great possibilities in deep sky astrophotography.
