The APM-LZOS 105/650 is back! Due to a new production run from LZOS combined with a new turn key aluminium tube format we are now able to offer again this compact 4" class refractor and its superb optics.
The 105/650 features TMB designed optics manufactured by the famous LZOS optical company. LZOS is a world renowned optical company and has supplied glass and optics for major astronomical observatories and optical companies such as Carl Zeiss. The optical performance of this refractor is as near to perfect as its possible to be. Each scope is supplied with an optical test report gauranteeing performance of at least 95% Strehl. Natuarlly each scope is collimated and tested before supply ensuring you get the very best performance.
The 105/650 is an extremely versatile telescope. It's 105mm aperture provides ample resolution for visual observations and imaging while its superb optics allow magnifictions to be stretched beyond what would normally be expected as reasonable. As an imaging telescope the 105 offers wide field of view at its natural focal length of 650mm that is compatible with the largest of sensors when combined with the APM's Model 1 Flattener. For even wider views the 105 can be used with the APM Riccardi Reducers which reduce the focal length to only 487mm at a fast F4.65.
