Acuter MAK70 70mm (2.75") f/14 Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope OTA with 2d-Microtune Alt-Azimuth Mount & Tripod
The new ACUTER VOYAGER MAK70 is a high quality and powerful Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with 70mm aperture. This compact and easily transportable telescope is ideal for observing and learning about the night sky. Since the image is upright (*see note in specification table below), you can observe nature and other terrestrial objects during the daytime. You can also capture images using your smartphone using the included universal smartphone adaptor.
The outfit consists of a 70mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope OTA with 1000mm focal length, 50x and 100x magnifying eyepieces, an optical 5x24 finderscope, as well as a smartphone adapter and carrying bag. The telescope can be expanded as required with optionally available standard 1.25 "telescope eyepieces to increase the range of magnifications. The telescope is supplied with the easy to use ACUTER 2D-MICROTUNE Alt-Azimuth Mount & Tripod equipped with fine adjustment knobs for precise movement in both altitude and azimuth axes. The set comes in an attractive gift box.
The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov (1896-1964), a Russian optician and astronomer who introduced this telescope design in 1941.
